Marlon Vera looks for his sixth consecutive victory when he meets bantamweight veteran Eddie Wineland at UFC on ESPN 8, sources confirmed following a report by ESPN.

Vera (17-5-1) snapped the first losing streak of his MMA career at UFC 227 when he knocked out Wuliji Buren, and he hasn’t lost since. In an 11-month span, “Chito” has finished Guido Cannetti, Frankie Saenz, Nohelin Hernandez and Andre Ewell.

UFC on ESPN 8 takes place March 28 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The event airs on ESPN and ESPN+.

Wineland (24-13-1), who fights under the UFC and WEC banner since 2006, stopped Grigorii Popov in the second round of their UFC 238 clash to avoid an uncomfortable three-fight skid.

UFC on ESPN 8 features a potential No. 1 contender bout between heavyweights Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the main event.
